**General Manager: Sports Facilities ( Hockey Rink & Soccer Dome)**

**Job Summary**

The General Manager of MLS Arena is responsible for complete management and overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the ice rink and Indoor Soccer Dome. The General Manager ensures the safety, quality, and customer satisfaction of the users and staff. The General Manager also manages the budget, inventory, and staff scheduling of the rink.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Be the on site leader for all operations and management of the facility and be the single point of contact for smoth and seamless operations of the facility operations.
- Directly reporting to the CEO and manage ,supervise and coordinate the activities of the Supervisors, operations staff, dome attendents, contractors and sub contractors.
- Monitor and maintain the quality and safety of the ice surface, rink boards, glass, hockey nets, Chillers, dehumidifiers and other equipment.
- Monitor and maintain the Indoor Soccer Dome, including dome, turf, emergency standby equipment, Makeup Air units and other equipment.
- Perform or oversee the installation and removal of the ice surface, as well as the regular resurfacing, edging, and cleaning of the ice.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures of the rink and the MLS arena.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage the inventory of equipment, supplies, and merchandise, and order new items as needed.
- Prepare and manage the budget, financial reports, and records, and ensure the profitability of the rink.
- Schedule and coordinate the programs, events, and rentals, and liaise with the user groups.
- Promote the services and products to the public and potential customers, and maintain a positive relationship with the community and the media.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in the ice rink and soccer industry, and implement best practices and innovations to improve the rink’s operations and performance.
- Prior experience in operation of Ice resurfacing equipment is must.
- CIT designation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Create and maintain a preventive maintenance plan for HVAV equipment including chillers, Makeup Air units, Heatings units, Pumps and motors.
- Work with third party contractors to ensure the uptime if critical equipment.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing and operating an ice rink facility.
- Knowledge of ice making, ice maintenance, and ice rink equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of hockey products and equipment, and a passion for hockey and the hockey community.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of people.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong technical aucmen with ability to troubleshoot and organize repair of various mechanical equipment.
- Be available to be on call, on phone or on site for any site emergencies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, accounting software, and rink management software.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work conditions and schedules, and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

Licence/Certification:

- Certified Ice Technician (preferred)
- Refrigeration Operator B Ticket (preferred)
- Gas Fitter (preferred)
