We have a new opening available for an Associate Territory Manager for our Kitchener region
**Position Summary**:
Are you passionate about learning, and looking for a stepping-stone to your future career goals and professional journey? The Associate Territory Manager role is an entry-level support position designed to provide on-the-job training and coaching to support the achievement and future career growth within the company. This opportunity will provide you with the necessary tools and resources to learn the sales process, to develop sales techniques and gain product knowledge, and you will work closely with experienced Territory Managers to support them in managing and growing their assigned territories. This will include building and maintaining relationships with customers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and analyzing market trends.
The primary focus of this role will prepare you for future career moves within Flanagan Foodservice, particularly our Territory Manager role. You will receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, and opportunities to participate in sales meetings, training programs, and other developmental activities to enhance your skills and knowledge. **Schedule Details**:
- Monday - Friday, Days. Flexibility may be required to attend meetings outside of regular business hours.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with Territory Managers to receive on-the job training and coaching to learn the sales process.
- Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and other developmental activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Analyze the territory/market's potentials to gather data, market trends, and provide efficient sales strategies.
- Present, promote and sell products using our Sales Platform to existing and prospective customers.
- Performing cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers using CRM to meet customer needs.
- Provide coverage of Territory Manager for vacation days including travel to customer locations.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction and coordinate sales efforts with cross-functional teams.
- Work with vendors and product specialists throughout the districts to gain product knowledge.
- Collaborate with Category managers and Territory Managers for conversion, sampling and managing territories.
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's license and personal vehicle for travel purposes approximately 50% of the time.
- Open to growth opportunities and willingness to learn.
- Previous experience in a similar position (sales) is preferred with special consideration for restaurant managers with product knowledge.
- Post-secondary education preferred.
- Strong demonstration of time management and organizational skills required.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for building relationships required.
- Work independently and tenaciously to collect an exchange of payment.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent computer skills using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Generate leads, and display problem-solving and marketing skills while acting as an in house sales person.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and strong decision-making skills required.
