Total Transload Services is a bulk material handling and logistics company based out of Sturgeon County in Alberta. We provide customized transloading, storing and delivering solutions to all of our clients.
We are currently looking for a Accounting Manager who will have the opportunity to advance into different roles as our business grows. We offer an a Monday to Friday work schedule with the opportunity of overtime work when needed.
- Work alongside the controller and head of finance and ensure all daily tasks are completed and reports are being provided to operations teams and management.
- Review daily accounting transactions and perform audits to ensure all tasks done by AR/AP personal are done correctly.
- Process payments and manage vendor calls and inquiries on payment dates and timelines.
- Accounts receivable - Issues customer invoices by following company and government regulations;
- Accounts Payable - prepares A/P batches (matches invoices and packing slips to corresponding PO and checks for discrepancies);
- Mails customers invoices;
- Other ad-hoc responsibilities as they come.
- *Qualifications: A bachelors degree in account is a huge asset or any education that is relevant to the job description.
- Ideally 2 - 3 years experience in similar position;
- Team player, adaptable, energetic with a positive professional attitude and desire to learn;
- Excellent verbal and written business communication skills;
- Highly organized, ability to work unsupervised and meets key deadlines;
- Demonstrates initiative to self-improvement of our business and product knowledge;
- Strong PC skills - MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Follows all the company's procedures, pro-active in finding ways to improve productivity in the Back Office and minimize errors;
- Recognizes this is an entry level position and has a strong desire to develop and grow skills so as to advance in the company.
**Salary**: $40,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
**Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
