WESN is a registered not-for-profit organization with over 850 members, an annual revenue budget of $1m and 15 full / part time staff. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of older adults in Vancouver’s West End by providing social, recreational, educational, and supportive programs and services that foster connection and inclusion in the broader community.

**Job Purpose**

The Light Housekeeping Service Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating light housekeeping services provided to clients. This role involves onboarding new participants, assessing program eligibility, managing waitlists, and processing invoices. The Coordinator will ensure the quality of services, maintain positive client relationships, and coordinate effectively with contractors. The Light Housekeeping Service Coordinator reports to the Manager of Community Services.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Onboard new participants into the light housekeeping program
- Review and process Service Application Forms to determine eligibility
- Conduct initial assessments of clients’ homes to identify specific needs and preferences for housekeeping services
- Assess current program participants to ensure ongoing suitability
- Oversee and coordinate light housekeeping services with contractors. Communicate regularly with contractors to provide updates on clients, ensuring adherence to established protocols and delivery of compassionate, respectful service
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of housekeeping services, addressing any concerns or issues promptly to maintain client satisfaction. Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing any issues or feedback effectively, maintain accurate records of service delivery and client feedback
- Provide regular status reports on clients, including any issues, to the Community Services Manager
- Participate in regular meetings with the Community Services team and attend Better at Home Community of Practice meetings
- Receive and verify contractor invoices, ensuring accuracy of reported hours. Prepare and process client invoices, incorporating subsidized rates where applicable

**Skills and Competencies**
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion and how to implement this in daily practice
- Ability to connect with and support senior clients from diverse backgrounds
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and other databases
- Proficiency in invoicing and record-keeping
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate service
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other WESN staff, programs and services, and other organizations

**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Grade 12 level)
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with older adults with a range of physical and cognitive abilities
- Experience in the community-based not-for-profit sector is an asset
- Ability to speak an additional language is an asset: Cantonese, Farsi, Spanish
- Mental Health First Aid qualifications is an asset

**Reports To**: Manager of Community Services

**Starting Salary**: $25/hour

**Hours**:21 hours per week, scheduled between 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday

**Location**: Barclay Manor, 1447 Barclay St. and off-site/remote

**Other**: Satisfactory completion of a Criminal Record Check
