We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Purchaser to add to our team

**Job Summary**

The Purchasing Expediter is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials and supplies necessary for manufacturing operations. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, monitoring purchase orders, and resolving any issues that may cause delays. The Expediter works closely with the Purchasing, Quality, Production, and Inventory teams to maintain optimal supply levels and support uninterrupted production.

**Responsibilities**:
Order Management: Monitor and track the status of purchase orders from initiation to delivery. Follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and expedite orders as needed. Communicate any changes in order status to relevant departments.

Supplier Coordination: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure prompt responses and cooperation. Adress any supplier-related issues that may impact delivery timelines or quality.

Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and received materials. Manage and resolve delivery issues, such as late shipments or damaged goods.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of order statuses, communications, and any issues encountered. Prepare regular reports on order progress and potential supply chain disruptions.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Purchasing, Production, and Inventory teams to ensure alignment on material requirements and delivery schedules. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address any urgent material needs or changes in production schedules.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the expediting process and supplier performance. Participate in supplier performance reviews and contribute to supplier development initiatives.

Vendor Auditing: Onsite visits verifying the continuous quality requirements are being met as per AVL requirements. Identifying and reporting Non-conformances found. Issue corrective actions and verification that these actions have been implemented and resolved.

**Job Specific Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience**

1. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

2. Experience working with ISO 9001, CSA W47.1, and W59 welding preferred.

3. Must be able to work with close tolerances and should be able to lift 50lb.

4. Experience using measuring devices. (tape measure, vernier, micrometer etc. )

5. Experience with fabrication, assembly drawings, and processes.

6. Ability to identify electrical and mechanical components.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
