À titre de Reporter, Informations générales - Journalisme de données, vous ferez partie de l’équipe de l’Information, chargée de livrer le meilleur contenu à son lectorat. Relevant de l’équipe de direction des actualités et informations générales, vous aurez pour responsabilité, seul(e) ou en collaboration avec d’autres journalistes de la rédaction, de préparer des reportages originaux à partir de données.

Vos défis
- Procéder à la recherche, à la cueillette, à la rédaction, à la traduction, à l’adaptation, à la refonte et à la correction de l’information dans le domaine d’activités défini pour sa fonction;
- Rédiger, réviser, choisir des nouvelles, des articles et des dossiers pour publication.

Nos besoins
- Détenir un diplôme universitaire en journalisme, en communication ou toute discipline pertinente;
- Posséder au moins deux années d’expérience en journalisme;
- Détenir une maîtrise parfaite de la langue française;
- Être capable de s’exprimer, à l'oral comme à l'écrit, en anglais;
- Avoir le sens de la nouvelle;
- Être reconnu pour sa productivité et sa rapidité d'exécution;
- Démontrer de bonnes capacités à dénicher des exclusivités, à travailler sous pression, à mener à bien des dossiers complexes et à livrer plusieurs histoires par jour, au besoin;
- Faire preuve de rigueur, d’autonomie, de polyvalence et de débrouillardise;
- Démontrer un bon sens de l’initiative;
- Détenir de bonnes aptitudes à travailler en équipe, à vulgariser des enjeux complexes et à identifier les sources pertinentes de données, ouvertes ou non;
- Posséder une maitrise des tableurs et de leurs fonctions avancées, des méthodes d’acquisition et de traitement des données, de langages et systèmes tels Python (notamment la librairie Pandas) ou autres langages et de systèmes similaires;
- Connaître les principaux outils de cartographie, les principaux langages et librairies de visualisation de données;
- Démontrer de bonnes connaissances du HTML, des CSS et du JavaScript.
