Overview The Financial Reporting Manager manages the financial reporting process and filings in accordance with GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX, and other regulatory guidelines. The role oversees accounting policies, technical accounting functions, and ensures timely, accurate SEC filings. Responsibilities Lead and manage all SEC reporting processes and filings, including Annual Reports on Form 10‑K, quarterly reports on Form 10‑Q, and 8‑K filings. Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to keep bank financial records current and compliant with company policies. Provide support for internal reports to management, the Board of Directors, and committees. Oversee support and documentation for quarterly earnings release and investor presentations, including Nasdaq notifications and GlobeNews Wire interface. Assist with banking regulatory filings such as the Bank Call report and required reports with the Federal Reserve Board. Maintain collaboration with other departments to ensure transactions are correctly captured in financial statements. Manage the SEC reporting software, review XBRL tagging of financial statements and footnotes. Lead accounting policy development and offer expert advice on technical accounting and regulatory issues. Assist the Chief Accounting Officer with monitoring and interpreting new GAAP, SEC, regulatory pronouncements, and implementing appropriate disclosure treatments. Help develop and maintain procedures and documentation; provide training to the Finance and Accounting team as needed. Identify opportunities and implement improvements to the financial reporting process for greater efficiency. Support accounting research and analysis projects as needed. Assist with audits and regulatory examinations. Assist with developing ad‑hoc pro forma reports. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws. Promote Citizens’ experience to all external and internal stakeholders. Oversee special projects and other assigned duties. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, resolving complaints, and addressing problems. Qualifications Advanced technical knowledge of US GAAP. Strong technical writing, research skills, and experience handling complex GAAP accounting matters. Excellent problem‑solving skills and sound judgment to adapt to changing situations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum seven (7) years of accounting experience, including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience. Relevant experience in the financial services industry and SEC reporting is required. Licensed CPA or CPA candidate highly desirable. Skills Language Skills: Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; present information and respond to questions from managers and clients. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and apply basic algebra. Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and apply logical or scientific thinking. Physical Demands Regularly talk or hear, sit, reach with hands and arms, handle objects, occasionally stand, walk, stoop. Use computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, telephone.
