As part of Canada’s Skills for Success program, the Government of Canada has partnered with Immigrant Services Calgary and the Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre to deliver a National Training Program for customized soft skills training for the IT industry. The Training and Recruitment Assistant will coordinate the training's design, development, and delivery. They are also responsible for recruiting and selecting eligible clients from our employer partners, supporting project needs identification and training curricula development, and contributing to the training evaluation and assessment.

**YOU'RE GOOD AT**:
**As a Training and recruitment Assistant, you will**:

- Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, synchronous and asynchronous training
- Track and report on training outcomes
- Work closely with the Employer Engagement Officer to recruit participants from employer partner sites for training
- Provide feedback to program participants and stakeholders
- Maintain participants’ training records
- Handle logistics for training activities including venues and equipment
- Establish and maintain relationships with external training facilitators

**YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)**:

- Successful completion of post-secondary education, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in HR, Training or Education.
- Minimum three (3) years of work experience as a Training Assistant, Trainer, Training Facilitator, or similar role
- Minimum three (3) years of work experience in a recruiting role for clients and/or employers
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
- Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
- Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
- Experience with e-learning platforms
- Ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time and ability to work independently with mínimal direction
- Fluency in English is essential
- Fluency in other languages an asset
- Strong communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills: positive, enthusiastic, collaborative, and solution-focused
