This position supports the execution of Nestle Canada's Consumer Wellness vision in a manner that drives business opportunities and creates competitive advantage for Nestle in the marketplace. With deep nutrition knowledge and gained understanding of Nestle's policies and guidance, the role conducts internal and external assessments to support the Consumer Wellness Manager in the development of Category and Corporate Wellness strategies. **A day in the life of a Nutrition Associate** This role ensures all of our brands implement Nestle’s consumer wellness expectations through the Product Development process and tracks and reports progress. This role will execute Employee Wellness Initiatives where relevant, including projects such as Wellness Moments and Health Faits. The role develops Consumer Wellness content for our internal communication channels (The Nest, The Latest On, Future of Foods) and externally facing communications where relevant, i.e., websites. You will also: Provide Nutrition & Competitive Inputs to support the execution of Nestle's Nutrition & Wellness Strategy: - Work under the supervision of the Team Lead, Consumer Wellness and Regulatory to perform nutritional assessments of our products and portfolio to help inform the development of our Corporate and Category Consumer Wellness strategies. - Identify and report Nutrition & Wellness insights through performance of competitive reviews, trend and external landscape assessments. - Assist in the development of communication initiatives such as the "Future of Foods” and “The Latest On.” Provides Nutrition and Wellness insight to drive brand action: - Assess products & actions against Global and Strategic Business Units nutrition expectations. - Ensure all Nestle Consumer Wellness objectives and consumer product expectations are met through participation in the Product Development process for select brands providing expert opinions on proposed product benefits. - Perform product competitive assessments, such as nutritional comparisons, ingredient lists and claims. - Support the development of brand communications and claims development where relevant to ensure they are science-based, credible and include all Nestle Nutrition & Wellness requirements, such as portion guidance. Tracking & Reporting - Maintain the tracking and reporting systems to ensure data quality on key KPIs and measurements - Create reports and other communication to ensure our brands, the Nutrition & Wellness team and Sr. VP of Corporate Affairs are aware of any gaps or opportunities. - Liase with the Global Centre to ensure market is aware and trained on the latest assessment and tracking tools. **What will make you successful?** - Required: Registered Dietitian, post-secondary degree in nutritional or health sciences - 1 year experience within the food industry or other related experience preferred - Nutrition, Health and, Wellness knowledge, with strong organization and multi-tasking skills - Strong influence and communication skills - Good understanding of external factors impacting Canadian consumers health ch
