**About GNV**:
Since 2006 GNV has been repairing electronics for industry, institutions, and governments. We repair equipment, up to 600V, such as Variable Frequency Drives, Servo Amplifiers, Operator Panels, PLC, Robots, and Servo Motors. Our success has led to growth and we need to expand our repair team.

**Summary**:
Junior position to learn how to repair electronic automation equipment. This is a learning opportunity for those who love the challenge of repairing electronics.

Working in our shop and warehouse, you will support our repair team - which is responsible for repairing, testing, calibrating, and cleaning _industrial_ _electronic equipment_ and _circuit boards_. You will also be responsible for maintaining our in-house inventory of spare parts.

You must be comfortable working around and with _voltage sources_ up to 600 VAC in a _safe manner_.

You will be trained to disassemble equipment to access circuit boards, without documentation, manual dexterity and use of tools will be required.

You will be trained to desolder and solder through-hole and surface-mount electronic components, without damaging the board or other components.

Your understanding of solid-state electronic components, Kirchhoff's laws, Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR), Ohm's law, etc. will be strengthened.

You must be able to communicate with team members, help when you can, ask for help when you need it.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist our repair team in troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and cleaning industrial electronics assemblies
- Assist in sourcing and receiving parts
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- You must be comfortable with working with our online management systems
- Responsibilities will vary with time and workload

**Qualifications**:

- College certificate or equivalent
- Ability to use digital multimeter and oscilloscope
- knowledge of electronic components
- Ability to work under pressure with mínimal to no supervision
- Must be able to lift 22 Kg
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English
- Computer and Software knowledge of Libre Office, Electronic Mail, and Web Browsers
- Some experience in soldering, desoldering, PCB repair would be an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
