**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Facility Operations & Management**:
- Oversee the daily maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, ensuring that the environment is safe, hygienic, and conducive to learning.
- Develop and implement a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for classrooms, restrooms, outdoor play areas, and common spaces.
- Coordinate repairs, renovations, and improvements with contractors or maintenance staff to ensure mínimal disruption to operations.
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, including educational resources, furniture, safety materials, and cleaning products.
- Ensure that the facility complies with all local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, and accessibility.
- Oversee the security of the building, including access control, alarm systems, and emergency protocols.
- **Health & Safety**:
- Monitor and enforce health and safety standards in the facility, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits, fire drills, and emergency preparedness activities to ensure a secure environment for children, staff, and visitors.
- Manage and maintain safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and playground safety materials.
- Ensure all staff are trained in emergency procedures, child protection protocols, and first aid.
- **Early Childhood Education Support**:
- Assist in the implementation of educational programs and curriculum for children ages 1 to 5.
- Provide leadership and guidance to early childhood educators, supporting professional development and adherence to best practices in early learning.
- Ensure that the physical environment (classrooms, play areas, etc.) is set up to foster creativity, curiosity, and learning.
- Monitor the developmental progress of children, ensuring that individual needs are met through appropriate activities and support.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to child development.
- **Staff & Team Management**:
- Supervise and support a team of educators and facility staff, providing feedback, performance evaluations, and coaching as needed.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and respect.
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new staff members.
- **Budget & Financial Oversight**:
- Assist in the development and management of the facility’s budget, ensuring financial sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
- Track expenses related to facility operations, including maintenance, supplies, and staff training.
- **Communication & Community Engagement**:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for families, staff, and external vendors regarding facility operations and educational programming.
- Maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on facility matters and child development.
- Collaborate with local community partners, organizations, and regulatory bodies to stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
- Additional certifications in facilities management, health and safety, or related fields a plus.
- **Experience**:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in early childhood education, with a strong understanding of child development and best practices in early learning.
- Experience in facilities management or a similar role, preferably within an educational or childcare setting.
- Proven experience in staff supervision, training, and team leadership.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to early childhood education and facility management.
- **Skills & Abilities**:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, staff, and external vendors.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety standards and emergency response protocols.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and basic facility management systems.
**Additional Information**:
- A background check and clearance to work with children will be required.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
