We are seeking talented individuals to fill the role of a **part-time** **Mandarin language tutor** to work with children on the autism spectrum in York region. The main goal of this role is to help clients improve their **Mandarin speaking, listening, and comprehension skills** using structured and engaging approaches informed by ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) principles.

This job is part time role for an independent contractor in a home setting.

You will work one-on-one with clients under the supervision of a Senior Therapist. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for language teaching and supporting neurodiverse learners.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver individualized Mandarin language instruction to children with ASD
- Use evidence-based strategies (e.g., ABA, Verbal Behaviour) to promote communication and engagement
- Create and adapt teaching materials for each client’s level
- Use play-based and naturalistic teaching techniques to enhance language use
- Monitor and document progress
- Attend training sessions and team meetings as needed
- **Availabilities: open to work on weekdays after 4pm and weekends.**

**Requirements**:

- **Experience teaching Mandarin to children is required** (e.g., tutoring, heritage language classes, or classroom teaching)
- Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or developmental delays
- Education or training in one of the following is preferred:

- Behavioural Science Technology
- Autism and Behavioural Science Certificate
- Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT)
- Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, Child & Youth Work, Teacher Education, or a related field
- Knowledge of ABA is an asset
- Creative, patient, and passionate about helping children succeed
- **Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are strongly recommended**:

- Fluency in both Mandarin and English is required
- Cantonese is an asset

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
