Good Folk, located in the Otter Hotel, is seeking passionate and dedicated Hosts to help deliver an unparalleled guest experience. As the first point of contact, our Hosts create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, assist guests to their tables, and answer any questions they may have.
**About Us**:
Good Folk blends warm hospitality with exceptional cuisine. Our goal is to create a memorable dining experience that draws both locals and visitors alike. As a Host, you’ll play a key role in delivering top-tier service and setting the tone for every guest’s visit.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provide a warm, friendly, and professional greeting—both in person and over the phone
- Take accurate dining reservations and enter them into the system
- Organize reservations and plan seating charts to ensure smooth guest flow and even server rotation
- Escort diners to their tables and anticipate guest needs (e.g. high chair, accessibility, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with management, kitchen staff, and serving staff to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure menus are clean, free of stains, and fully stocked—wipe and restock as needed
- Monitor the cleanliness of washrooms and attend to them when necessary
- Assist with delivering food & beverages or clearing tables when needed
- Follow all health and safety policies, and report injuries or hazards immediately
- Take on additional duties as needed to support the team and business

**Skills and Experience**:

- Valid ProServe certification
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A team player with a positive attitude, independence, and a strong willingness to learn
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays
