OVERVIEW_ - Reporting directly to the Manager, Collections, and Payment Processing, the Payment Processing Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of customer payments, analysis, and reconciliation of accounts. The payment Processing Analyst will also support internal and external customers by responding to payment inquiries and ensuring the satisfactory resolution of payment issues._ - ROLE-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES_ - _Accurately enter and code invoice payments into JDE EnterpriseOne, reconciling payments to invoices, updating accounts balance and the general ledger._ - _Prepare direct deposit, credit card, or PAP auto bank, payment, and fund transfers._ - _Ensure all payments are accurately processed in a timely and efficient manner and that they are applied to the appropriate invoice, account, and G/L._ - _Respond to payment inquiries from external customers and internal co-workers and departments in a professional and courteous manner. Provide exceptional customer service, resolving any outstanding questions and issues promptly._ - _Collaborate with Cash Management to trace missing payments and obtain necessary documentation to support payment. Adjust or update payment information accordingly and conduct necessary follow-ups with the Sales Administration Centre and/or the customer._ - _Return NSF cheques to the customer and request payment. Notify accounts receivable so the appropriate actions can be taken to collect payment._ - _Process bi-weekly Meter and Cylinder rental Charges_ - EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE_ - 1. Bachelor Degree or College Diploma in Business/Accounting preferred._ - 2. Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills_ - 3. Minimum of one (1) year experience, preferably in an office environment._ - 4. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook._ - 5. Strong customer service skills that are supported by strong oral communication skills._ - 6. Strong, clear, and persuasive communication skills, both oral and written._ - 7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask._ - 8. Attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy on all related information._ - 9.
