**Overview**

Sumas Environmental Services Inc. is an environmental facility located in Burnaby, British Columbia.

**Responsibilities**
- Operate skid steers and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on job sites.
- Perform tasks such as digging, grading, and moving materials as required for construction projects.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met on time and within specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Assist in the operation of additional machinery as needed, including backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and horizontal drilling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of the project.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in skid steer operation; additional experience with backhoe operation or bulldozer operation is a plus.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and heavy equipment operation standards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with construction work, including lifting heavy loads.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- Valid driver's license; certification in heavy equipment operation is preferred but not required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
