Bookkeeper:
The Pidherney Centre is hiring a Bookkeeper for our curling/event centre located in Red Deer, Alberta. If you are a motivated, meticulous individual with experience in finances/accounting, and love collaborating with people we are looking for you The Pidherney Centre is home to the largest curling facility in the world with a storied past dating back to the 19th century. The facility has 12 sheets of ice and is home to approximately 750 curlers that play in 17 different leagues. The centre is a year round operation that includes event rental space with capacity to cater large events.

**Job Description**:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for full-cycle accounting for the Pidherney Centre from input to providing detailed reporting and reports directly to the General Manager. This is a permanent, part-time position, in which the time commitment will vary, specifically during our peak season October to April. Hours are lighter in the summer months.

General Duties:
Education and Experience:

- Comprehensive knowledge of Sage software
- Experience with AGLC raffle licensing/reporting
- Above-average knowledge of the Alberta employment standards
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a bookkeeping or finance related role
- Experience in general computer software including Microsoft office, specifically outlook and excel
- Personable individual with effective communication skills
- Experience with Point of Sale

Remuneration and Benefits:
Permanent part-time hourly position with remuneration to be determined based on experience - Benefits dependent on needs of the applicant
