**Multicultural Outreach EDC Worker - Tigrigna**:
DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society Surrey, BC
Reporting to the Manager of Early Years Services, the Multicultural Outreach ECD Worker, is responsible for the supporting families with children 0-6 years old to build school readiness, confidence, and a sense of belonging to the greater communities in Delta. Typical duties include: home visits, integration visits and activities relevant to parenting, school readiness, and community connections.
1. A post-secondary degree in social services, humanities, or other relevant field of work and more than 2 years of relevant work in the community/ social services sector.
2. Demonstrated experienced in case management and working alongside families through a service plan.
3. Easily builds rapport and relationships with families school, and local services providers through genuine connection.
4. Experience working with diverse and multi-lingual groups.
5. Knowledge of refugees, newcomers, and migration challenges.
6. Knowledge of community resources for families with young children.
7. Excellent problem solving ability, communication skills, discretion and judgement.
8. The ability to work collectively in a team environment.
9. Strong English language written skills and fluency in an additional language is an asset.
