**Full job description**

Adams Chevrolet Ponoka is a family owned and operated GM Dealership located in Central Alberta for over 36 years. We are 20 minutes north of Red Deer and one hour south of Edmonton. We are a hard working fast paced team that is looking for someone that is honest, positive, dedicated, well groomed, has great customer service skills and is ready to be part of a fantastic team.

**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Manage the day to day operations of the Service Department.
- Responsible for overseeing the scheduling of work in the service department and for the selling of required and recommended services.
- Handling customer concerns quickly and professionally to maintain good customer relationships and ensure repeat customers
- Managing warranty claims and ensuring their quick submission.
- Provide training to assist Service Advisors to meet goals for productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Forecast and set goals and objectives for the service department.
- Handle escalated customer complaints.
- Ensuring a positive work atmosphere for all staff and a great experience for every customer.
- Actively manage and improve all measured performance indicators including gross sales, profitability, loyalty, and CSI.
- Supervise and keep record of shop equipment.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Automotive experience is required, with General Motors experience being a definite asset.
- Applicants should be proficient with computers, have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards working within and leading a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as being a strong leader, overseeing an entire department of at least five employees.
- Problem solving/critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

**Job Type**: Full-time.
