You would be trusted with knowing your customers inside and out, and we will help you learn the Danawares product line. We're a hybrid team, so that selling can be from your home office, the team office, a coffee shop, or preferably wherever you're inspired and can focus on our customers and their needs. You'll use your customer obsession to drive growth in the business, working to deliver product selection and merchandising solutions that satisfy the customer's needs and provide success for yourself, your team and Danawares. **What will you do** This role is primarily responsible for meeting or exceeding the sales budget by effectively selling and servicing a portfolio of diverse retail and institutional customers. In addition, this role will also work to penetrate new targeted retail sectors determined by Danawares senior management. This role will be responsible for analyzing the business by account or by customer grouping in a way that provides valuable insight in support of your sales performance goals. Accountable for understanding the product line, the customer portfolio, and the marketplace, you work within to optimize their business, using all products and tools available to you. - Meet or exceed sales budget expectations - Manage profitability of your accounts relative to corporate benchmarking - Understand in detail each customer in your account portfolio - Knowledge of the marketplace; product price positioning to win business with Danawares product line - Develop an appropriate sales strategy for each account - Develop the retail calendar for each account to ensure that you are prepared and do not miss any sales opportunities. - Identify new product opportunities that maximize Tom’s portfolio. - Track the progress of the sale activity by updating the CRM with contact information, sales notes, copies of catalogue submissions, and forecasts to ensure customer demand is planned for. - Knowledge of domestic promotional sales, replenishable sales, and Direct Import and Drop Ship sales - Perform regular store/online visits and report on findings - Ensure awareness of all promotional strategies for all accounts - Track POS from customers to ensure knowledge of their sell thru - Ensure an understanding of the sales terms and vendor agreements to support senior management with all financial decision-making for all accounts in your portfolio - Ensure all sample requests are made clearly and promptly, tracking them to close all deals - Use the custom sales management software effectively and follow in a disciplined manner its use in communicating sales progress - Attend any meetings required internally with all stakeholders - Travel as necessary to meet clients - Assess sales methodologies and tools to optimize performance and collaborate with colleagues in every department - Develop and implement best practices to maximize pipeline creation, pitches, presentations and closed deals and wins - Perform self-evaluation on your effectiveness of sales performance aligned with the company’s commitment to continuous improvement - Cultivate business relationships and create an exceptional customer experience through the sales cycle - Present your selling strategy to your peers at regular sales and sales pipeline meetings - Provide valuable factual data-driven feedback on a product offering from your customers - Demonstrate strategic thought and leadership in all dealings with customer - Actively participate in Marketing and product development, providing valuable feedback that will support the company’s strengthening of their product offering suited to the diverse customer base. - Use data to direct your sales activity. - Foster a culture of professionalism in all you do internally and externally, ensuring healthy relationships with all customers and stakeholders **Skills, experience, and education in support of this role** - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Minimum of five years plus in a direct selling role in the "CPG" in
