Job Position: Construction Coordinator

Position Number: 1

**Job Type**: Permanent, Full-time (30 hr/week)

Monday -Friday, Weekend and after hours may required

Wage: Base (Cad $ 35 /hr)+Overtime Pay

Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible

Language Requirement: English

Work Location: in
- person, Lower Sackville, NS office and nearby construction sites.

Job Duties:

- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of building construction, installation, and repair services, including bricklaying, roofing, cement finishing, tile setting, plastering, drywall installation, glazing, insulating, and painting etc.
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities and work tasks with labour teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Resolve work-related issues to maintain construction quality, ensure safety, and maximize productivity.
- Requisition materials and supplies as needed for project completion.
- Supervise and train workers on job duties, safety procedures, building codes, and company policies.
- Recommend hiring decisions and subcontracting activities to support project needs.
- Prepare and maintain detailed work progress reports.
- Ensure project work schedules and deadlines are met.
- Assist in project budgeting, cost estimation, and ongoing cost control to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Report to and support the company director as required.

Experience and skills requirements:
1. Several years of experience in the trade or construction area

2. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify issues and solves problems

Education requirements:

- Completion of secondary school
