Senior Construction Site Superintendent

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Site Superintendent with a minimum of 10 years' construction experience to join our team. Reporting to the Estimator, the Senior Site Superintendent will be responsible for providing daily site management of assigned tenant improvement projects, including but not limited to:

• Overseeing all trades and effectively managing daily onsite activities;
• Ensuring scope, quality control, and health and safety are maintained to the highest standard;
• Adhering to budget and scheduling constraints.

Your key responsibilities will Include:

• Positively and professionally representing Reotech Construction and communicating effectively with both customers, trades, and members of our team;
• Assisting and updating the Project Manager as needed throughout the full cycle of the project;
• Maintaining the project schedule by developing and scheduling work assignments for subcontractors on a daily and weekly basis;
• Inspecting work in progress to assure quality and contract compliance, correcting any deficiencies, and supervising the filed layout;
• Conducting regular project progress meetings, providing input on schedule and current project issues;
• Upkeeping cost documentation such as delivery reports and "as built" drawings for permanent record, and sending daily reports to head office;
• Adhering to company safety procedures and maintaining an organized work site, coordinating material delivery and removal;
• Maintain and build relationships with hired sub trades and clients and share knowledge and techniques to further assist with all projects;
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring...

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to lead by example and have a proven record of professionalism in attendance, dependability, and safety;
• Minimum of 15 years experience within the construction industry, with a proven history in tenant improvements, renovations, and retro fits is preferred;
• General carpentry, project management, handyman work, painting & finishing, and drywalling experience;
• Knowledge in scheduling and identifying and aligning all required resources to execute construction related activities;
• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate an asset;
• Must be physically able to conduct routine construction demolition and clean up tasks with the ability to lift up to 50 lb;
• Available for full time schedule (40 hrs) with the flexibility to work varying hours if needed (overnights, evenings and weekends);
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal;
• Valid BC Driver's License with a clean driving record and must be willing and able to travel throughout the lower mainland;
• Proficient with MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel), MS Project, Bluebeam and web-based safety databases;
• CSA approved steel toe boots, hard hat, and hi-vis vest are required.
