Fleet and Logistics Manager

We are currently hiring a **Dispatcher** in **Toronto, ON** to support our branch operations. The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating our fleet, scheduling maintenance, and acts as the main point of contact for delivering and moving our scaffolding gear from our yard to customer sites.
**Fleet and Logistics Manager** **Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate activities related to the procurement, servicing, operation, maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the fleet through inspections and to ensure company policies are adhered to
- Coordinate the work of all maintenance personnel in the repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles
- Enforcement of fleet administration standards and vehicle operating policies, ensure vehicle-related functions and activities comply with established laws, codes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Coordinate with yard managers to assure compliance with established standards, requirements and procedures are adhered to by company drivers
- Monitor, evaluate and determine priority of vehicle maintenance, servicing and repair projects
- Coordinate off-site maintenance, repair and recovery functions for roadside vehicle malfunctions
- Prepare vehicle specifications according to fleet needs
- Assist with the processing of insurance claims involving fleet vehicles
- Maintain records, files, and analytics related to vehicles, maintenance, repairs, projects, mileage, depreciation, financial/ operational efficiencies
- Coordinate daily driver assignments and start times with Yard Suprevisor
- Create daily dispatch log considering both route optimization and customer needs
- Liase with internal site service teams to ensure deliveries are made to align with their schedules
- Communicate the organizations safety policies in accordance with applicable federal safety standards and local laws
- Other duties as required
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma
- College diploma in logistics, transportation, or business preferred
- 2+ years experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet scheduling/dispatch
- 2+ years experience in maintenance and asset management of fleet
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and are comfortable working in a dynamic and growing business
- Direct working knowledge of operations, fleet, and transportation management
- Proven skills to interact effectively with coworkers to assist with directing work flow and dispatching drivers
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Familiar with enterprise-level SCM track-and-trace systems
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills
- Customer oriented, servicing both internal and external customers
- Superior project management and leadership capabilities
- Knowledge of applicable transportation laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures
- Proven success in development and implementation of program improvements for cost-saving measures
- Ability to collaborate with internal business partners, senior management and supplier
- Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementation skills
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
- Meticulous records maintenance skills
