Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Direct clinical service delivery.
Documentation associated with clinical service delivery.
Education and Research.
Safety - ongoing as part of all responsibilities.
Experience
Experience in welding and sheet metal required.
Experience in automotive repairs and adaptation preferred.
Experience using all types of machine shop equipment required (e.g. lathes, milling machines, metal bending equipment, precision measuring tools and a variety of other machinery and hand tools required.
Experience in working with a large variety of materials (ABS, polyurethane, different foams, steel, aluminum, wood, etc.) required.
Experience working with disabled persons preferred.
Experience in assessing and solving-problems of wheelchair seating preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, or equivalent.
Certified Red Seal Machinist with a minimum of 3 Years Journeyperson Experience required.
2-year Manufacturing Technician Diploma or one-year Precision Metal Machining Certificate preferred.
Welding, Fabrication, Repair, and Basic CNC Design and Programming with regards to a wide range of materials required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
Certificate of qualification in trade of machinist (certificate and red Seal numbers to be supplied).
Valid Manitoba driver's license and access to a vehicle required.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

Self-Motivated and ability to work individually or in a team environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Customer service focus with regards to patient/therapist interactions.
Ability to work under stress, adapt to a busy environment, and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent precision machining and bench skills.
Basic knowledge of mastercam X Software to control Haas Tm-1 Mini Mill.
Professional with regards to work, clients and coworkers.
Physical Requirements
Mental and physical health must be sufficient to meet the demands of the job.
