The Polly Fox Bakery & Bistro, a fully gluten-free bakery located in the heart of Downtown Abbotsford, is looking to grow our team We are seeking an experienced **Pastry Chef/Baker** who is passionate about creating beautiful, delicious, and consistent baked goods in a fast-paced environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety.

**Position Details**
- **Job Type**: Full-Time & Part-Time positions available
- **Location**: Downtown Abbotsford, BC
- **Compensation**: Competitive hourly wage, with room for growth

**Key Responsibilities**
- Execute daily baking production, including pastries, breads, and specialty items, following company recipes and standards
- Experiment with and develop new recipes in collaboration with the kitchen team
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all products
- Uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards in the kitchen at all times
- Organize, label, and rotate stock to minimize waste
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with occasional special orders, catering, or seasonal menu items
- Take initiative in problem-solving and continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and product quality

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- **Minimum of 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery (mandatory)**:

- Formal training in baking/pastry (asset but not required)
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines
- Creativity and passion for experimenting with new recipes and techniques
