As a Technical Lead you will be a driving force behind the Core Delivery Team, ensuring that the technical direction of the team aligns with the needs of our customers. Your role will be multifaceted, encompassing technical expertise, team empowerment and incident management. You will collaborate closely with other teams to bridge the gap between customers and engineering. Providing insight from customers to engineering helping to ensure that the product best meets the needs of the customer.
**What your day will look like**:
As a Technical Lead you will be a driving force behind the Core Delivery Team, ensuring that the technical direction of the team aligns with the needs of our customers. Your role will be multifaceted, encompassing technical expertise, team empowerment and incident management.
You will collaborate closely with other teams to bridge the gap between customers and engineering. Providing insight from customers to engineering helping to ensure that the product best meets the needs of the customer.
**Responsibilities**:
- Technical Leadership: Act as the go-to technical expert within the team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members in their technical endeavors. Lead by example and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Team Empowerment: Ensure that team members are well-equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to excel in their roles (including technical ramp-up of new staff). Provide resources and training opportunities to enhance the team's product knowledge, technical skills and keep them up-to-date with industry best practices
- Knowledge Base: Manage a knowledge base to allow other teams to have quick access to detailed troubleshooting procedures
- Customer-Centric Approach:. Helping to ensure that the customers are receiving the best possible experience, guiding and motivating the team to take ownership of issues, and find the best possible resolution
- Interface with Customers: Act as a bridge between customers and engineering teams, champion the customer's perspective throughout the development process. Translate technical product details into easily understandable language for customers and support teams
- Customer Incident Management: Oversee the successful resolution of customer incidents and technical escalations. Defining the resolution strategy, aligning team resources, setting the next steps / end goals, guiding and motivating the team to achieve them
- Quality Assurance: Implement best practices for technical aspects of case management to maintain high-quality interactions and technical excellence
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry trends. Advocate for the adoption of new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the team's efficiency and product quality
**About you**:
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or similar role, demonstrating strong leadership and technical expertise
- Proficiency in Genetec Security Center, Microsoft Windows, SQL Server and troubleshooting tools
- Strong understanding of networking and software development concepts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively liaising between customers and engineering teams
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and devise effective solutions
