**Who we are**

Valital is an award-winning AI-powered adverse media monitoring platform. Valital scours the internet to extract, filter and analyze real-time open-source intelligence. It flags relevant online information on companies’ adverse ESG risks as well as individuals’ misconducts. We believe our clients must verify first, then trust in order to stay ahead of unexpected reputation risks and build confident business relationships. Valital partners with IVADO, an artificial intelligence research and transfer institute, on key R&D projects.

**What you can expect when joining Valital**

As technical lead, you will work with the founding partners and lead a passionate team of engineers, data scientists, and developers.

**You will**
- Collaborate with the executives and the product team to create secure, reliable and scalable software solutions
- Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality, efficiency and scalability
- Oversee data security and management
- Lead the integration of Valital with other platforms
- Participate in the product development process with an open and curious team
- Write user stories and software requirements
- Constantly improve team productivity, refine agile processes, and create methods to increase velocity
- Instill operational efficiency throughout all aspects of the product development such as R&D cycles, release processes and code reviews
- Ensure quality documentation is up-to-date
- Act as a technical escalation point for the engineering team

**What we are looking for**
- Degree in computer science or software engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a senior IT role
- Demonstrated technical initiative and leadership
- Interest in and knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing
- Strong appetite for innovation and out-of-the-box thinking
- Ability to conduct technological analysis and research
