At Almosthome Childcare we believe in the need for a holistic approach to childcare; We are all individuals Children learn through play and socialization A strong support system is essential to a child's well being Everyone deserves respect **Job Summary**: **Key Responsibilities**: - Help your team develop and implement age-appropriate programing. - Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants. - Utilize effective classroom management strategies to support children's behavior through positive guidance. - Foster the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. - Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding their child's time in care. - Work collaboratively with your team to create an inviting classroom. **Qualifications**: - Valid BC Early Childhood Education license (with Infant Toddler specialization an asset) - Strong interpersonal skills to guide and inspire young learners. - Fluency in English. - Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes. - Prior experience in an infant/toddler setting or similar childcare experience an asset. Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 - 42.5 per week Additional pay: - Overtime pay **Benefits**: - Dental care - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - On-site parking - Paid time off Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: - Saanich, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - Early childhood education: 1 year (preferred) **Language**: - English (required) Licence/Certification: - ECE Licence (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-10-01
