Pauquachin First Nation is seeking to hire an Early Childhood Educator (ECE). Operating under the direct supervision of the Head Start Manager, the ECE assists with the planning and implementation of activities for Pauquachin First Nation (PFN) children, families and community to enhance child development as well as to collaborate as a part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure that PFN children have access to the services they need. The ECE plays an important role to promote the early childhood stages of growth and development of the Head Start Daycare children. All Head Start programming supports and includes the delivery of culture and language, education, health promotion, nutrition, social support, and parental and family involvement. The ECE will be the support for the Toddler room.Education and Experience •Diploma or certificate in Early Childhood Education; and •Valid Licence to Practice with the Early Childhood Educator registry; and •2 years’ experience working in a daycare or other ECE environment preferred; • Experience planning and implementing curriculum and achieving outcomes an asset; •Valid FoodSafe Level 1 certificate or willingness to obtain; •Possession of a valid WHMIS certificate or willingness to obtain; •Clean criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector required; •Valid Child Safe first aid and CPR certificate as per the Child Care Licensing requirements; •Class 5 driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and a clean driver’s abstract an asset;Qualified applicants are invited to email their resume and cover letter to Lori Fitzgerald, CPHR at .
