**Your days will include**:

- Setting strategic direction and influencing teams to achieve clear expectations and goals.
- Developing and managing departmental budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Presenting performance metrics to executive management, fostering transparency and accountability.
- Collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Logistics teams to optimize the supply chain process.
- Communicating effectively with external vendors and customers, simplifying complex strategies into actionable plans.
- Ensuring on-time delivery through innovative transportation solutions across various modes.
- Recruiting, training, and mentoring a high-performing Logistics and Transportation team, promoting a culture of collaboration and independence.
- Initiating and overseeing the lane-by-lane freight rate and bid processes to secure best-in-class rates.
- Implementing best-in-class continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Working closely with senior leadership to address major challenges and emergencies impacting the supply chain.

**To succeed in this role, you must possess**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, MBA, or Logistics/Supply Chain designation (preferred).
- At least 3 years of management experience in Domestic and International Logistics Transportation Supply Chain.
- Experience with road, rail, ocean, and air logistics is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and freight forwarding processes.
- Proficiency in Excel and Outlook, with an eagerness to learn new systems.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, along with effective communication abilities.
- A visionary mindset with the capacity to make informed decisions and adapt to change.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and waste reduction.
- A willingness to travel
