**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate new employee onboarding, including ensuring all staff complete necessary paperwork, training, and certifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, training, certifications, and performance reviews.
- Administer payroll and benefits for staff, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
- Ensure all staffing schedules are organized and that shifts are adequately covered to maintain smooth daily operations.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to manage employee records, create reports, track attendance, and generate other HR-related documentation.
- Provide support in staff development, including scheduling training sessions, certifications, and performance evaluations.
- Manage employee relations, including addressing concerns, supporting conflict resolution, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Monitor compliance with provincial and federal regulations regarding child care, including health and safety, staffing ratios, and training requirements.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of HR policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
- Foster a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere by maintaining open communication with staff, parents, and management.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in HR administration, particularly in the child care or education sector.
- Strong understanding of child care regulations, including requirements for RECEs, ECAs, and other child care staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for creating and maintaining reports, schedules, and HR-related documentation.
- Experience with payroll administration, benefits management, and other HR processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of recruitment processes, from job postings to interviewing and onboarding.
- Compassionate and professional, with a genuine interest in supporting staff development and well-being.
- Experience in conflict resolution and employee relations.
- A background in child care or early childhood education is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal labor laws and child care regulations.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
