Academic Program Development Coordinator

**NOTE: This position is limited to NAIT internal staff only.**
The department of Program and Pathway Services (PPS) is responsible for the ongoing advancement of existing and new credit programming at NAIT which includes leadership in developing new learning opportunity proposals, managing Advanced Education program records, and ensuring existing programs maintain alignment with NAIT and ministerial policy and frameworks. This work directly impacts many areas of NAIT, and Program Pathway Services is a lynch pin in ensuring programs are launched successfully by identifying cross impacts and collaboratively works with stakeholders to reduce barriers, enhance processes and identifies opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
New Program Development:
- Leads new program development working groups to collect required data and research, and other info as required for proposal development.
- Ensures proposed programs adhere with NAIT and ministry policy and framework.
- Writes proposals that provide clear rationale, relevant data that meets the decision-making needs of the ministry and internal approvers.
- Adds program records in appropriate systems, internal and external.
Program Changes and records:
- Assesses proposed changes to programs for validity, adherence to policy and frameworks, impact to operational processes, studetns and reporting both internal and external.
- Writes proposals that provide clear justification for the impact of the change.
- Manages NAITs information in external systems.
Supports Quality Assurance processes and other project/ initiatives as required:
- Leads QA processes related to work
- Develops documentation, communications, and reports
**Skills & Abilities**:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships and manage conflicts effectively
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work efficiently with mínimal supervision
**Qualifications**:
- Related Post-Secondary Diploma
- Degree Preferred
- 3-5 years related experience
**Remuneration**:$2,320.28 - $3,109.48 bi-weekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Coordinator I).
- This position is covered by the AUPE (Alberta Union of Provincial Employees) Collective Agreement._
