The Faculty of Health Studies (FHS) Academic Program Manager of Health Pathways reports to the Dean and, as a member of the Faculty’s leadership team, has responsibility for assisting and managing the operation and providing leadership at the Faculty level and for a cluster of academic programs within the Faculty. The Academic Program Manager of Health Pathways works with the Dean, other senior administrators, chairs, faculty and staff to establish and implement college-wide and faculty goals and objectives to ensure that an effective learning environment is maintained. The Manager is focused on leading the Post-diploma programs, Practical Nurse for Internationally Educated Nurses, Health Care Aide to Practical Nurse, International programming, and Addictions and Mental Health within the portfolio, developing new programs and creating systems that support effective learning environments.

The Manager supports senior leadership in fiscal planning and management within the faculty. The focus of the position will involve enrolment management, academic policy implementation and monitoring, maintenance of an effective learning environment, academic appeals, faculty recruitment and development, special projects, program and curriculum quality, internal and external networking and internal and external committee involvement as assigned. The Academic Program Manager will also support and ensure the continued implementation of Equity Diversity & Inclusion, Anti-Racism, and Decolonial Indigenization into key functions within the Faculty to ensure an equitable learning and work environment.

**HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE**:

- Business Plan: work closely with the Dean, Associate Dean of Projects & Innovation, Chairs and other members of the Faculty to develop a business case. The incumbent will successfully manage, administer and organize projects of varying sizes and complexity utilizing best-in-class project management practices.
- Communicate relevant project information to the various project stakeholders.
- Develop and create a detailed project plan to monitor and implement processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams throughout the College to support the completion of projects.
- Reporting and Documentation develop and maintain a centralized repository of documentation in support of knowledge management.
- Manage quality & satisfaction, identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to achieve internal efficiencies.
- Budget track revenue for projects such as Alberta grants, Federal grants and other project funding from Government of Alberta.
- Monitor Progress/Time Management/Risk Management: ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Contract Management**:the incumbent will work with internal and external stakeholders in the negotiation, development, support and management of government grants or external projects
- Academic Leadership: The Academic Program Manager provides input, guidance, feedback and unit perspectives related to Program Development & Review, Faculty Development, Educational Technology, Work Integrated Learning, Community Service Learning, and the future direction and implementation of Reimagine Higher Education. The Academic Program Manager ensures Applied Research mandate and goals are activate
- Administrative and Operational Leadership: The Academic Program Manager supports senior leadership in administrative and operational leadership, fiscal planning and management within the faculty
- Strategy: The Academic Program Manager works with the Dean, other senior administrators, chairs, faculty and staff to establish and implement college-wide and faculty goals and objectives to ensure that an effective learning environment is maintained. The Academic Program Manager co-supports the growth and advancement of the Academic portfolio. The Academic Program Manager engages internal and external networking as well as college internal/ external committee involvement as assigned.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Current license in a regulated profession.
- 5 years Leadership and management/supervisory experience in postsecondary.
- Skillful at leading large, complex teams and creating a positive, collaborative culture.
- Experience teaching diverse adult learners in a post-secondary environment.
- Experience developing strategies and operational plans.
- Experience leading and managing projects.
- Skillful in advancing anti-racism, decolonial Indigenization, equity and inclusion in educational settings.
- Experience working within a regulatory framework and with accreditation.
- Experience managing budgets.
