Army Public Affairs is comprised of a team of enthusiastic communication professionals and talented content creators tasked with disseminating the activities, structures and objectives of Canada’s active, diverse and modern Army. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Communications

Manager to coordinate, supervise and support a multifaceted section that includes our Federal website,

Social Media channels, Video and Podcast production. Reporting directly to the Director of Public

As Section Manager, the incumbent will perform the administrative tasks commensurate with the supervision of civilian team members and those specific to functions and requirements within the

Federal government and the Department of National Defense.

Qualifications:

- Post-Secondary education in communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Eligibility for required security clearance.
- Significant and pertinent experience leveraging multimedia content with communication strategies.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of communication professionals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic communication plans.
- Familiarization with the operation and corporate management of social media platforms.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of analytics and metric reporting to inform communication strategies.
- Experience advising senior leadership on strategic actions.
- Experience with administrative tasks, including human resources tasks, Federal and

Departmental policy.

À titre de gestionnaire de section, le titulaire du poste effectuera les tâches administratives correspondant à la supervision des membres civils de l’équipe ainsi que les fonctions et exigences propres au gouvernement fédéral et au ministère de la Défense nationale.

Qualifications:

- Études postsecondaires dans le domaine des communications, du marketing ou un domaine connexe.
- Admissible à l’obtention de l’habilitation de sécurité requise.
- Expérience importante et pertinente de la mise à profit de contenu multimédia en fonction de stratégies de communication.
- Solides compétences en leadership avec expérience de la gestion d’une équipe de professionnels en communication.
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite.
- Expérience attestée en élaboration et en exécution de plans stratégiques de communication.
- Familiarisation avec les opérations et la gestion ministérielle des plateformes de médias sociaux.
- Aptitude à travailler efficacement dans un milieu où les activités se déroulent à un rythme rapide en fonction des échéances.
- Connaissance des analyses et des rapports sur les indicateurs pour éclairer les stratégies de communication.
- Expérience de la prestation de conseils sur les mesures stratégiques à la haute direction.
- Expérience des tâches administratives, y compris les tâches liées aux ressources humaines, et des politiques fédérales et ministérielles.
