**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

PTC has an immediate opening for a Program Officer (PO). Reporting to the Executive Director, the PO is responsible for:

- Ensuring subcontractor conformance to appropriate standards (ISO/IEC 17043, ISO/IEC 17025);
- Evaluating proficiency testing data;
- Preparing PT reports;
- Notifying laboratories of performance results;
- Conducting investigations in support of appeals and complaints relating to the PT Program;
- Tracking Improvement/Corrective Action Request (ICAR) and Complaints;
- Maintaining appeal, complaints, and non-conformance logs;
- Acting as the main point of contact for participants and subcontractors;
- Functioning as the Quality Manager for PTC;
- Scheduling internal audits;
- Conducting Management Reviews;
- Ensuring all PTC documents reviewed and properly authorized;
- Maintaining Risk Registry;
- Driving continuous improvement;
- Acting as back-up for the Executive Director.

- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management;
- Develop and implement new strategic procedures aligned with organizational goals and industry standards;
- Maintain the accreditation and proficiency testing programs, ensuring compliance with standards;
- Prepare high-quality written materials, including reports, proposals, and public communications;
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations;
- Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain strong professional relationships with participants and subcontractors;
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed;
- Advanced knowledge of the accreditation and proficiency testing sector;
- Proven expertise in analytical and food chemistry;
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communications skills and the ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously;
- Analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights to inform decision-making;
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and lead independently with mínimal supervision;
- Self motivated with a strong work ethic and enthusiastic approach;
- Formal training in statistics and experience with macros or data automation tools;
- General IT proficiency is an advantage;
- Maintain and utilize advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Dynamics 365 CRM; experience with data visualization tools is a plus;
- Employ Lean Management principles to optimize program;
- Understanding of the not-for-profit sector and its operational frameworks;
- Experience using QuickBooks is an asset;
- Background or exposure to Marketing is a plus.
