As a Speech Language Pathologist on our team, you are an integral part of our specialized services for autistic clients or other developmental disabilities. **Take an inside look at what you will do each day**:
- You will conduct assessments, develop recommendations, and write reports
- You will develop treatment plans and provide therapy as clinically recommended
- You will provide treatment for a variety of goals related to prelinguistic skills, social-pragmatics, supralingustic skills, cognitive communication, articulation and phonology, language delays, literacy and more We also provide some feeding supports within clinician’s scope of practice and in collaboration with behaviour analysts (BCBAs) as clinically recommended.
- You will provide parent training as clinically recommended to facilitate carryover and generalization
- You will provide consultation and potential training to other professions in the clinic who are providing services for autistic clients or other developmental disabilities
- You will participate in team meetings, discussions and collaborate on an interdisciplinary team
- This is a clinic-based position with the possibility of some online appointments, where clinically recommended
- You will build a strong network by joining a national team of Speech Language Pathologists and Speech Language Pathologist assistants
**Experience and Qualifications**
Registration and active membership in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
- You are a graduate of a recognized School of Speech Language Pathology
- Experience in play-based, embedded trial and naturalistic teaching considered an asset
- Experience with Early Start Denver Model considered an asset
- Experience implementing a range of formal and informal assessments considered an asset
- Experience with assessment and treatment of common pediatric speech and language disorders
- Effective communication skills with colleagues, clients and their families, and third parties
- A willingness to work closely on a team, and/or mentor other therapists
- New Graduates are welcome to apply, mentorship for the initial practice period (IPP) will be provided
**Compensation**:
- Salary commensurate with experience according to company pay scale
