**Job Description - Junior Accounting Technician**

We are currently looking for a **Junior Accounting Technician** to join our team in our Sherwood Park office.
- 2+ year of experience in a Canadian public practice accounting environment (co-op or internship experience also considered);
- Enrolled in, or interest in pursuing, the CPA program (not required, but considered an asset);
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax fundamentals;
- Some experience preparing working papers and assisting with year-end files (compilation engagements);
- Experience dealing with CRA regarding various matters;
- Willingness to learn how to prepare personal and corporate tax returns;
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks, CaseWare and TaxCycle is an asset);
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to ask questions and learn;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines with guidance;
- Friendly, adaptable, and eager to be part of a collaborative team;
- Reliable transportation to our Sherwood Park office.

**Job Type**: Full-time
**Pay**: $32.00-$35.00 per hour (commensurate with experience and education)

- Monday to Friday

Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
