Dexter Construction Company is a large, diversified Construction Company engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction industry within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently looking for a Project Administrator to join our Cogswell Project operations based out of Halifax, NS.

**Job Summary**:
The Project Administrator will assist in the planning and organization of Company projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. The Project Administrator will, at minimum, assist the Project Team with the following deliverables.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Attendance at project meetings and preparation of meeting minutes.
- Daily production tracking and data entry.
- Compiling and tracking daily truck load counts.
- Collecting and managing project deliveries including, packing slips, concrete and quarry tickets.
- Managing and completing approved supplier invoice tracking spreadsheet.
- Environmental manifest tracking and data entry.
- Collecting and uploading daily site progress photos.
- Ordering concrete and scheduling internal and third-party material testing.
- Managing and updating construction drawing log.
- General data entry
- Supporting Project Coordinators with other project deliverables.
- Any other duties as required.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience**:

- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Outlook).
- Experience in Heavy Civil Construction would be considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Efficient time management skills with the ability to balance numerous requirements.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Good communication skills, oral and written.
- Willingness to work in a fast paced, team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an easy-going, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work as part of a construction team;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Professional attitude, punctual, assertive and personable;
- Ability to respond in pressure situations with a calm demeanor and high sense of urgency

**Working Conditions**:
The Project Administrator will be required to work long office hours and use a computer. Field work and company site visits will be required and will require the use of minimum PPE (Hardhat, Steel Toe Boots, reflective vest, etc.). Other PPE might also be necessary and will be driven by the environment of the work sites (specialized PPE, Gas monitors, Fall Arrest and Breathing Apparatus). Occasional travel on behalf of the company may be necessary to represent the Company or Project.

**Salary**: $40,979.62-$53,400.86 per year
