As the oldest free-standing school of public health in Canada, the School of Public Health (SPH) at the University of Alberta is home to3 research centres: The Injury Prevention Centre, Community-University Partnership and the Centre for Healthy Communities. In addition to these centres, the School of Public Health hosts multiple research groups. SPH offers a range of graduate programs, including a course-based Master of Public Health (MPH), an MA in Community Engagement (both course-based and thesis-based), and thesis-based programs (MSc and PhD). These programs are supported by a dedicated faculty of 30 members and serve approximately 350 graduate students.
