**INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP) PROGRAMS COORDINATOR**

**INVEST OTTAWA - VENTURE DEVELOPMENT**

Become a key player in Eastern Ontario's tech scene Invest Ottawa is seeking a motivated Intellectual Property (IP) Programs Coordinator to join our Venture team. Reporting to the IP Program Manager, you'll directly support the growth of tech startups and scaleups through our IP Services and Programs. As the first point of contact for Invest Ottawa’s IP programs and services, you'll guide tech companies through the IP support journey, deliver seamless program experiences, and provide essential program support.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**:

- IP Programs Support. Support the IP Programs Manager on all aspects relating to program management and service delivery of the ElevateIP and IP Assist programs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless program execution.
- Inquiries Management: Act as the first point of contact for IP Programs, providing timely responses to inquiries from program participants and stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to program guidelines and requirements.
- Program Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor program metrics, track participant engagement, and prepare reports to analyze program effectiveness and facilitate stakeholder communication.
- Records Maintenance: Maintain accurate records and databases related to IP initiatives, including program materials, agreements, and participant data.
- Event Coordination: Organize IP-related events, workshops, and seminars.
- Logistics Management: Handle program logistics, including scheduling, participant communication, and resource allocation.
- Financial Management: Diligently manage invoices, statements of work, and purchase orders.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to IP Programs, such as document management, data tracking, and reporting.
- Data Management: Maintain and update client information, progress, and key metrics using Microsoft Dynamics and other software tools.
- Team Support: Assist the broader Venture Services team as needed.

**WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED/ GAINED THROUGHOUT YOUR CAREER**:

- A post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, law, IP, technology management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Up to three (3) years of relevant work experience; experience in the tech industry or with an IP service provider is highly valued.
- Enthusiasm for Ottawa's tech ecosystem and a drive to contribute to its success.
- Experience in program coordination, project management, or similar roles.
- Excellent client service focus and commitment to excellence.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and meticulous attention to detail.
- An agile self-starter who can work under mínimal supervision in a changing environment with an eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- A high level of proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and the MS Office suite.
- Experience in a startup, legal environment and/or familiarity with intellectual property is considered an asset.
