**The Vancouver Curling Club Association ("the VCC") is incorporated under** the Societies Act of British Columbia and operates a community facility that welcomes club members and the public for curling and social activities. EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT The Executive Assistant (EA) provides administrative, clerical, and organizational support to the Executive Director (ED). The EA will act as a point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and allowing executives to focus on strategic tasks. Part-Time Hourly Approx 15hrs/week August - April Approx 5hrs/week May - July Rate of $23-28/hr depending on experience Posting open until September 4th 2025 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES and internal correspondence - Keeping the executive’s calendar up-to-date, including adding events, scheduling or rescheduling meetings and appointments and providing daily briefings - Acting as the gatekeeper for internal and external contacts, including vendors, colleagues, clients, and customers; redirecting internal and external contacts to the appropriate staff member when appropriate or necessary - Conducting research and creating reports on various topics based on the needs of the executive - Meeting Coordination: Organizing and preparing for meetings, including booking venues, preparing materials, and taking minutes. - Keeping important information and documents organized physically, and electronically - Maintaining a high degree of discretion and confidentiality - Any other duties or responsibilities as agreed upon from time to time by the executive and the assistant SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS - Exceptional attention to detail - Communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to conduct research and create reports or presentations - Time management - Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities - Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion - Basic computer and office equipment skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Familiarity with Non-Profit business and BC Societies is a bonus MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Ability to legally work in Canada. Valid Work Permit/Permanent Resident/Citizenship/Refugee Status - College/Post-Graduate is preferred. Or, 10+ years experience in a related administrative setting. At least, a High School Diploma is required. - Proficient in the use of Office productivity tools, specifically Google Work Space - Interest in the use of Technology and Innovation - Ability to research and independently obtain information on relevant programs and policies that align with our goals and objectives **Job Type**: Part-time Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC V5Y 2M4
