**Position**:Planner/Scheduler - Construction

**Job Location**:Office/various job sites

**General Position Overview**:
Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling a variety of steel building systems, structural, mechanical and piping construction projects. Reporting directly to Project Manager and Construction manager.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Create and manage project schedules, including weekly updates to ensure accuracy and alignment. All scheduling done in Primavera.
- Oversee project baseline process for cost, schedule and progress ensuring all project systems are implemented.
- Establish risk management protocol which includes identification, documentation, mitigation and tracking of potential risks on all projects. In addition, determine potential cost and schedule/progress impacts of potential risks as they are identified. Prepare and present risk management reports to management.
- Development of execution methodologies with input from Project Manager, Superintendents and subcontractors.
- Generate schedules and timelines for project deliverables based on Master Schedule.
- Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, base line, status, and perform measurement baseline.
- Maintain constant communication with project team to ensure execution plans are followed and task durations are met.
- Identify bottlenecks coming in the way of meeting the schedules and ensure that enough management time and attention is given to resolve these bottlenecks.
- Interact with clients and project teams, articulating the client's vision while ensuring the project stays within timelines.
- Remote project site visits as required
- Report on project progress and maintain chronological project notes.
- Performing other duties and assists with special projects as assigned.
- Maintain good relations with the client.
- Ensure the project is running smoothly.

**Qualifications**:

- 8 Years’ experience as a Planner/Scheduler in mining construction industry
- Expertise using Primavera P6 is required
- Working knowledge of current construction practices and methodology
- Experience with Sage 300 would be an asset
- Proficiency with MS Office (including Word, Excel, Visio, Project, & Outlook)
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Education/proficiency with CAD or BIM is considered an asset
- Previous experience with Procore is considered an asset
