Support the overall operations of the Maintenance department with particular focus on assuring each element of the property is in perfect working order. They are enthusiastic and engaging with all guest interactions in the course of their job or while walking the property. Responsible for both guest and Associate calls they respond immediately to any issues that arise.

Some essential functions of the job include: Maintaining hotel equipment as directed, assist with repairs and maintenance, painting, deep cleaning, preventative maintenance of guest rooms and equipment, monitoring pool area chemicals and equipment and responding to emergency situations with the Front Desk manager.

Must be able to work well with all members of the Engineering and Housekeeping Departments as well as all other members of the hotel staff.

Ability to communicate with hotel guests.

High school or equivalent education required.

Preferred hotel experience with a minimum of three years hands-on experience working on minor electrical, painting, plumbing and A/C repairs.

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance per the Element Hotel guidelines.

Position will initially be available for full time hours due to a medical leave, then change to part time in the future.

Preference will be given to applicants from the Vancouver lower mainland.

Pay: $28.94 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Weekends as needed
