Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor’s role is integral to the operation of our plant This position is responsible for working with our unionized employees, liaising with supervisors from our other departments to ensure optimal operations, and supporting the Maintenance Manager with the day to day needs of the department and on projects.

**What’s involved in this role**:

- In cooperation with the maintenance foreman, production, and cooler supervisors, prioritize and schedule work orders to minimize disruption of operations.
- Ensures all work performed by outside contractors has been authorized, supervised, and the contractors are aware of our safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure that parts, materials, etc. are ordered in a timely manner to maintain the operations.
- Responsible for all Health & Safety programs in department.
- Attends weekly Production and Maintenance meetings
- Develop and administer training plans for maintenance staff
- Ensures Preventative Maintenance schedules are respected, and work orders are completed on time and at the expected quality level

**What you need to join our team**:

- Engineering degree (post-secondary degree or diploma), or a Red Seal, or equivalent project management experience and technical background
- A 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate is preferred
- Experience in supervising staff in a unionized environment
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the Food, Consumer Packaged Goods, or Pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and leading change would be considered an asset
