Vancouver, Canada Icon English Language Training Full time

Responsibilities:
Deliver EAP courses per term in accordance with the curriculum of Icon English Language Training Center, including lesson planning, preparation, grading, and all other instructional responsibilities

Review, grade and mark student work and provide students with substantial, timely, and serviceable feedback on that work, including any and all exams;
Establish, promote and maintain a focused and productive classroom learning environment;
Develop appropriate course materials, student assignments, and end of course examinations, as needed;
Contribute to review and revision of the Icon English curriculum;
Contribute to and participate in staff development sessions, regular staff meetings, and ongoing program development;
Assist in student orientation as required, including support in placement test proctoring and scoring;
Assist in the development of an effective relationship between Icon English and other colleges and universities

Minimum Qualifications:
A Canadian high school diploma;
Bachelor's degree in English Literature, Applied Linguistics or closely related field;
CELTA, or TEFL certificate;
Two or more years of teaching ESL/EFL/EAP to international students either in Canada or elsewhere, preferably in higher education settings;
Understanding of the Canadian university system and environment and of the demands that international students will face in undertaking undergraduate or graduate level study;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
A demonstrated record of skilled English/ESL/EAP instruction

A background check is required prior to starting employment. All Icon English employees are required to comply with applicable policies and procedures as well as employee training.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $20.00-$80.00 per hour
