**Role Description**

As a Distillery Retail Clerk, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding customer service and promoting our brand through sales of our premium spirits and merchandise. You will report directly to our Distillery Manager. You will engage with customers, offering recommendations, answering inquiries, and ensuring a memorable and positive shopping experience. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining inventory levels, organizing displays, and contributing to the overall cleanliness and ambiance of the retail space.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Educate customers about our distillery, products, and offerings.
- Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences and needs.
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods securely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail environment.
- Monitor and replenish merchandise on the sales floor.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and counting inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and goals.
- Uphold all company policies and procedures, including compliance with alcohol regulations.
- Continuously strive to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Calculate and post more complex journal entries to the general ledger
- Assist on bottling line when needed.
- Additional duties as per your manager.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality or retail is a plus.
- Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using POS systems.
- Knowledge of spirits and the distilling process is desirable.
- Must be at legal drinking age and able to handle alcohol responsibly.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- An entrepreneurial spirit - strong desire to “roll up your sleeves” and get involved

- The ability to curl two plates. Just kidding, the ability to lift 30lbs. is more than enough (No lifting restrictions)
- You are Smart Serve Certified and understand Ontario’s rules and regulations when it comes to sampling/serving. We have a no non-sense policy when it comes to the safety of our staff and consumers.
- Must currently have and maintain a valid Ontario driver’s license with no limitations/restrictions.
- As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to provide consent to complete a criminal background check.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
