**JOB SUMMARY**
Reporting to the Associate Director, Program Accountability & Impact, the Evaluator is responsible for coordinating, planning, analyzing and evaluating Praxis programs and processes; providing expertise, leadership, facilitation and guidance in the design and implementation of the evaluation methods; supporting knowledge transfer and decision-making to promote evidence-informed practice; recommending strategies and polices to support effective program planning and evaluation; and evaluating alignment of Praxis programs and processes within business and strategic plans.
This role offers a flexible work environment (remote/hybrid) and flexible work hours. Must be willing to live/relocate in BC for this role.
**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Planning, developing and implementing evaluations that are consistent with Praxis objectives and priorities.
- Developing, maintaining and enhancing data management systems to gather and report on qualitative and quantitative performance data.
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data holdings through monitoring, evaluation, analysis, reviewing literature and methodologies, and identifying and resolving issues.
- Conducting custom data collection, mining and analysis as required.
- Preparing documents (e.g., operating plans, reports, templates, tools, briefing notes, performance reports including reports for funders) and identifying conclusions, observations, and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Building organizational and network capacity for evaluation and impact analysis by providing expertise, developing tools, and offering education and training as required.
- Working with the Director of Research and Best Practice Implementation, coordinate health economics activities and manage day-to-day activities including vendor contracts.
- Remaining up-to-date on external reports and new theories/approaches to support Praxis evaluation activities.
- Providing committee support including preparing meeting packages, recording minutes and following up on action items.
- Providing logístical and administrative support for the department as required.
- Performing other duties as required within the scope of this role.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Public Administration, Business Administration, Statistics, Social Sciences) and minimum 4 years related experience
- Credentialed Evaluator designation
- Ability to analyze, review and evaluate program, initiative and/or project performance
- Skilled in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to listen and understand client needs and requirements
- Ability to collect, integrate, analyze and report complex data from various formats and sources.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to present technical information in lay terms, synthesize information and communicate to appropriate stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods including applied statistics at an intermediate to advanced level
- Advanced expertise in excel
- Remains calm under pressure and demonstrates openness to change and able to manage complexities
- Skills in the following an asset: ability to write complex SQL queries, Tableau, statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R or Python)
- Experience in health research or health care setting an asset
An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills/behaviors will be considered.
