**Job Summary**:
The Solar Operations Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role ensures the solar power plant is operating at peak performance, meeting safety and performance standards, and delivering optimal energy production. The technician will perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on all aspects of the solar plant.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Operation and Maintenance**:

- Conduct regular inspections of solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components of the solar PV systems.
- Monitor site performance using SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and other monitoring tools.

**Diagnostics and Repairs**:

- Identify and diagnose issues with inverters, combiners, transformers, and other system components.
- Use electrical testing equipment to test and maintain electrical components.
- Execute repairs and replacements as needed to maintain system uptime.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
- Document all maintenance activities and findings accurately.

**Reporting and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Generate reports on system status, performance metrics, and maintenance activities as required.
- Communicate with the Solar Operations Supervisor regarding system performance and any issues that arise.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including DC and AC circuits.
- Proficient with electrical testing tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical ability to work in various weather conditions outdoors and on uneven terrain.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
