We are currently looking for a detail-oriented QA Technician & Warehouse Operator to contribute to the safe and reliable operation of our unique and cutting-edge insect farm and production facility. This role is best suited for a meticulous and organized individual who is comfortable both in the lab and on a forklift.

- Starting wage $22.00/hour (plus $0.50/hour for Saturdays and Sundays, $1.00/hour for afternoon shifts, or $1.50/hour for overnight/graveyard shifts)

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Strict adherence to health and safety policies
- Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to achieve high quality standards
- Daily cleaning of equipment and areas to maintain high sanitation standards
- Accurate reporting and data collection to maintain production records
- Bagging, storing and organization of finished product and inventory - heavy use of forklift to load finished product onto pallet racking and into delivery trucks
- Conducting quality control sampling and lab work (training provided as necessary)
- Ensuring high sanitary and quality control standards are met
- Recording production data, shipping records, daily reports and other necessary data in adherence with company procedures

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Forklift experience is preferred (certification preferred)
- Experience in quality assurance is preferred
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic
- Fluent in English, with good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic use and knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Outlook and MS Excel)
- Ability to lift loads of up to 20 kg
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position, which includes standing, bending, pulling, lifting and pushing
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Manufacturing experience is an asset, particularly food or feed manufacturing
- Must hold a valid driver’s license

**SCHEDULE**:

- The plant operates 7 days/week including stat holidays (OT pay), with morning, afternoon and evening shifts available depending on the area
- Shifts are 8.5 hours, including two paid 15 min breaks and one unpaid 30 min break; 5 days/week - all schedules include shifts on Saturday, Sunday or both
