**About the Head of Finance Role**

We're looking for an outstanding Head of Finance to join Float and drive the company's financial strategy to support growth and long-term success of the business.

**As the Head of Finance at Float your responsibilities will include**:

- **Informing Product Roadmap**: Providing critical insights and input into Float's product roadmap. Our product team will consider you a key partner and internal customer of our own product. This is a unique opportunity to co-build the product YOU want to use as a Finance leader.
- **Budgeting & Financial Planning**: Developing and maintaining financial models and forecasts that support strategic decision-making and optimize resource and capital allocation.
- **Financial Analysis**: Analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to evaluate Float's growth and profitability.
- **Scalability and Growth Planning**: Working closely with the CEO to develop financial strategies that support Float's growth objectives. Assessing the financial impact of scaling operations and optimizing cost structures.
- **Strategic Partnership Support**: Assessing potential strategic partnerships by providing rigorous financial modeling and analysis support to Float's leaders. Participating in negotiations and structuring financial aspects of partnership agreements or acquisition deals.
- **Driving Vendor Negotiation**: Overseeing and negotiating contracts with external vendors, managing ongoing vendor relationships, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- **Cash Flow & Treasury Management**: Managing Float's cash flow position by monitoring cash inflows and outflows, optimizing working capital, and projecting future cash needs. Implementing effective cash management practices to support ongoing operations, investment in growth initiatives, and debt service obligations.
- **Financial Reporting**: Preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and tax obligations. Providing financial information to support audit processes and due diligence activities.
- **Financial Risk Management**: Identifying and managing financial risks; developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to protect Float's financial position and ensure business continuity.
- **Accounting and Control**: Oversight over financial record keeping, accounting procedures, tax filing, payroll processing, reconciliation, implementing and maintaining financial systems, and ensuring strong internal controls.
- **Investor & Lender Relations**: In partnership with the CEO, participating in fundraising efforts, developing financial projections, creating investor presentations and participating in investor meetings. Building and maintaining relationships with investors, and other funding sources. Managing investor relations by providing regular updates on financial performance and growth plans. Negotiating lender terms, and providing strategic insights to the CEO to support current and future investments.
- **Team Management & Development**: Overseeing month-end and treasury responsibilities of the team. Building and leading a high-performing finance team to support Float's financial operations. Providing guidance and mentorship, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

**Requirements**:
**You'll be great in this role if**:

- **You've got the experience**. To be successful in this role, we're looking for 10+ years of operational Finance experience in a high growth startup or company, with a strong blend of experience, skills (finance, accounting, strategic financial planning, analysis, fundraising)
