The impact you will have Reporting to the President, you will oversee financial operations across Canadian and U.S. entities, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and alignment with business objectives. Your role will include: Managing full‑cycle accounting and consolidated reporting across both entities. Overseeing tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Leading process automation and ERP optimization (NetSuite) to reduce manual workflows. Strengthening internal controls and ensuring compliance with Canadian and U.S. GAAP. Providing strategic insights to support pricing, margin management, and business growth. Leading and developing the finance team (AP/AR) to support a culture of efficiency and accountability. Candidates must have the following experience to be considered: Overall Experience: 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience in manufacturing or project‑based industries. Controller Experience: Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions and the month‑end/year‑end close process. Tech‑Savvy: Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. Leadership Skills: Ability to direct and supervise staff. Potential to progress career to higher leadership level within 1‑2 years. Education: CPA or CA designation. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Travel: Open to coming into the office 2‑4 days a week.
